de Benavente est une zone de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence entre la r\u00e9gion du Ribatejo et la r\u00e9gion m\u00e9tropolitaine de Lisbonne. Le bord de l&rsquo;eau, la lez\u00edria et la lande du Ribatejo marquent son identit\u00e9 culturelle et contribuent \u00e0 l&rsquo;importance reconnue du territoire du point de vue de son patrimoine naturel, avec une attention particuli\u00e8re pour l&rsquo;avifaune sauvage. Les voies d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s cr\u00e9\u00e9es entre-temps (A10 et A13) ont ouvert de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s de d\u00e9veloppement social et \u00e9conomique bas\u00e9es sur des hypoth\u00e8ses de modernit\u00e9, tout en garantissant la pr\u00e9servation de notre identit\u00e9.  <\/p><p>Situ\u00e9 dans le district de Santar\u00e9m, ce territoire se compose d&rsquo;une grande prairie dans la zone o\u00f9 le Tage rencontre le nord, de grandes rizi\u00e8res et de vastes for\u00eats de ch\u00eanes-li\u00e8ges en direction du sud.<\/p><p>Elle couvre une superficie de 521,38 kilom\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s et compte environ 30 000 habitants dans ses quatre paroisses, Benavente, Samora Correia, Santo Estev\u00e3o et Barrosa.<\/p><p>La richesse de son histoire et de sa culture, alli\u00e9e \u00e0 un patrimoine naturel inestimable, conf\u00e8re \u00e0 cette r\u00e9gion une beaut\u00e9 unique. Ceux qui la visitent ne sont pas indiff\u00e9rents \u00e0 la diversit\u00e9 des points d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat qu&rsquo;offre la municipalit\u00e9. actuellement parmi les plus fertiles de la p\u00e9ninsule ib\u00e9rique.<\/p><p>Le riz et les tomates \u00e9tant actuellement les principales cultures, la lez\u00edria peut supporter une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de cultures agricoles, tant pluviales qu&rsquo;irrigu\u00e9es, bien que cette exploitation ait largement emp\u00each\u00e9 la production de b\u00e9tail, chassant les chevaux et les morphologies et des structures allant du ch\u00eane-li\u00e8ge avec une structure arbustive complexe, \u00e0 des peuplements mixtes avec du pin maritime et du pin laricio, en passant par des for\u00eats de ch\u00eane-li\u00e8ge sans couche arbustive, repr\u00e9sentant ensemble plus des trois quarts de la superficie foresti\u00e8re (6 725 ha).<\/p><p>Le li\u00e8ge est une ressource naturelle, renouvelable et tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cieuse.
