A significant moment this morning, with the inauguration of the new Tourist Office in Benavente.
In the presence of mayors, representatives of local authorities and associations, businesspeople, local artisans and producers, local authority employees and the population, the Mayor of the municipality, Carlos Coutinho, highlighted the importance of this space dedicated to providing tourists with a personalized service and clarifying the tourist products and interesting activities that the municipality has to offer.
A note of thanks to Rancho Típico Saia Rodada for the exhibition they gave us, as well as to the musician Ricardo Viegas.
For his part, the Vice-President of the Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Entity, Pedro Beato, said the good news was that Ribatejo will have a very strong digital representation in 2025, including in various areas of the city of Lisbon, as a tourist destination.
The inauguration party is still going on in Praça da República until 4.30pm, with a display of handicrafts and regional products, and free roasted chestnuts.
